Alabama football fans boo Cam Newton before SEC Championship Game

ATLANTA — As Alabama football and Georgia prepared for the SEC Championship Game, Crimson Tide and Bulldogs fans alike united to boo a certain SEC legend.
As a group of SEC football legends were being honored before Alabama took on Georgia Saturday, Dec 6 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton received a chorus of boos from both Alabama and Georgia fans for the loudest ovation of any player. He kept his head down after being introduced with a grin, while each of the other players were introduced.
Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosely received ample praise as the Crimson Tide’s representative, as did former Georgia offensive lineman Randy Johnson.
