The 6-foot-3, 170-pound defensive back from Creekside High School in Fairburn, Georgia, announced his pledge to the Crimson Tide on Saturday, choosing Alabama over Georgia, Florida State, and several other programs.
White may currently hold a three-star rating, but Alabama's coaching staff clearly views him as much more than that. The Crimson Tide made him a priority target early in the process, and that persistence paid off.
One of the biggest factors in White's decision was the relationship he developed with Alabama cornerbacks coach Maurice Linguist. Since receiving an offer from the Crimson Tide in January, White became a frequent visitor to Tuscaloosa, making five trips to campus in 2026 alone. By the time his official visit rolled around in late May, Alabama already felt like home.
That's not something recruits say lightly.
White consistently spoke about how comfortable he felt around the coaching staff, players and overall program culture. The more time he spent in Tuscaloosa, the stronger Alabama's position became.
The coaching staff also made sure White knew exactly where he stood on their recruiting board.
Alabama's message was simple: you're wanted here.
That level of attention matters, especially in today's recruiting landscape where prospects are being pursued by programs across the country. White felt valued by the Crimson Tide from the start, and that helped separate Alabama from the rest of the field.
From a football standpoint, it's easy to see why the Tide pushed so hard for his commitment.
At 6-foot-3, White brings rare length to the cornerback position. Long defensive backs have become increasingly valuable in college football because of their ability to disrupt passing lanes, challenge bigger receivers and create matchup problems on the outside. His frame also gives him plenty of room to continue developing physically over the next two years before he arrives on campus.
Alabama has made a habit of targeting lengthy defensive backs under DeBoer, and White fits that mold perfectly. His size, athleticism and versatility give the Crimson Tide another intriguing piece for the future of its secondary.
The commitment is also another win for Linguist, who continues to make a strong impact on the recruiting trail since arriving in Tuscaloosa. Alabama has emphasized defensive back recruiting throughout the 2027 cycle, and White is another example of that strategy paying off.
While there is still a long way to go before National Signing Day, White's commitment gives Alabama another building block in what is shaping up to be a talented 2027 class.
For a player who made five trips to Tuscaloosa before making his decision, this commitment feels like one that has been trending toward Alabama for quite some time.
Now, the Crimson Tide has officially added another long, athletic defender from Georgia to its future secondary, and the 2027 class continues to gain momentum.
