For the first time since 2023, the Alabama Crimson Tide are back in the SEC Championship Game.
The Crimson Tide’s opponent? A familiar face on this big stage in the Georgia Bulldogs, who will be facing Alabama in the SEC Championship Game for what is the fifth time since 2012, as well as the first since 2023.
Georgia is also a team that Alabama has already seen once before this season, which is likely the headline result on the Crimson Tide’s resume, a 24-21 road win in Athens back in Week 5. In that game, Alabama carried a 24-14 lead into halftime, and despite being shutout in the second half, were able to still hold on for a massive road win.
As for the rematch, Georgia has not lost since that late September defeat to Alabama, and are a lock for the College Football Playoff (CFP) despite the outcome in Atlanta on Saturday.
Here is everything you need to know about Georgia ahead of the SEC Championship Game on Saturday afternoon.
