Alabama opened the early signing period on Wednesday with authority, securing signatures from 20 members of its 2026 recruiting class and reinforcing why the Crimson Tide remain one of the most consistent forces in college football.

Currently sitting at No. 4 nationally according to 247sports, trailing only USC, Oregon, and Notre Dame, Alabama is well on its way to cementing back-to-back top-tier recruiting classes under head coach Kalen DeBoer.

This group is not just deep, it’s loaded with blue-chip firepower.

Alabama signed four prospects rated as five-stars by at least one major recruiting outlet: Ezavier Crowell, Edmonds, Jireh Edwards, and Xavier Griffin.

All four were priority targets early in the cycle, and each brings the type of upside that can reshape position rooms the moment they step on campus.

Behind them is a wave of high-end talent. Thirteen signees earned four-star recognition from at least one of the industry’s major evaluators, including 247Sports, Rivals, ESPN, or their composite rankings.

The class also features a remarkable presence across national recruiting boards:

– 10 players ranked inside the ESPN300 top 150: Crowell, Edmonds, Edwards, Zyan Gibson, Griffin, Jamarion Matthews, Cederian Morgan, Mack Sutter, Jett Thomalla, and Nolan Wilson.

– 14 players listed in the Rivals300, a strong indicator of how widely respected this class is across scouting circles.

-10 prospects in the Top247, further proving that Alabama didn’t just sign quantity—they signed elite, nationally recognized quality.

This kind of across-the-board validation speaks to Alabama’s recruiting reach and the staff’s ability to identify and close on top-tier prospects in multiple regions.

DeBoer made it clear just how proud he is of this group and the commitment they showed throughout the process. Many recruits stayed locked in despite late pushes from other major programs, and a large portion will be on campus in the coming weeks.

“These guys stuck to their commitment,” DeBoer said. “We can’t wait to get them here and get to work. You’ve seen what our ’25 class has done already, this group has several players who can help us just as quickly. I’m very confident in that.”

If Wednesday was any indication, Alabama’s momentum isn’t slowing down.

The Tide are building, not just for next season, but for the future of the program.

And this class proves that the standard in Tuscaloosa is as strong as ever.

Roll Tide!
