Cornerback Cam Calhoun committed to transfer to Ohio State on Jan. 15.
It gave the Buckeyes their third transfer from Alabama during this offseason window, having signed defensive tackle James Smith and linebacker Qua Russaw earlier this week.
Calhoun was a backup and contributed on special teams in his lone season with the Crimson Tide last fall. He spent previous years at Utah in 2024 and Michigan in 2023.
Most of his playing experience was with the Utes, where he saw nearly 400 snaps as part of a rotation and led them with nine pass breakups over his season. He also intercepted a pass in a win at Utah State.
Calhoun redshirted as a freshman at Michigan, leaving him with two remaining years of eligibility as the veteran joins the Buckeyes.
He has ties to Ohio as he attended Winton Woods High School in Cincinnati and was teammates with Jermaine Mathews Jr., a starting cornerback for the Buckeyes who is returning for his senior season.
