Every once in a while, Alabama gets a reminder that the future of this program isn’t something we’re waiting on… it’s already here.

Alabama football is loading up again.

Alabama commit Trent Seaborn just brought home Class 7A Back of the Year, and it wasn’t just the award that stood out to me, it was the way he handled it.

No ego.

No “look at me.”

Just gratitude, humility, and faith.

Seaborn posted:

“So honored to be included among these incredible Alabama players today and grateful to be awarded 7A Back of the Year. Congrats to my future Alabama teammate EJ Crowell for winning Mr. Football! All Glory to God ☝🏽 Thank you Lord Jesus! 🙏🏽”

That right there is what Alabama is supposed to be about.

Yes, the talent matters, and trust me, the talent is REAL, but the mindset matters just as much. Alabama doesn’t need guys chasing attention. Alabama needs guys chasing excellence. Guys who understand the moment, respect the process, and keep God at the center of it all.

And Trent Seaborn is that kind of guy.

Now let’s talk about what he did on the field, because this wasn’t some “good season.” This was a season that should have every Alabama fan paying attention.

Seaborn finished the year with 3,689 passing yards, 35 touchdowns, and only seven interceptions. That’s elite production at the highest level of Alabama high school football. And he didn’t stop there, he also added five rushing touchdowns, proving he’s not just a passer, but he’s also a playmaker.

He’s the type of quarterback who can lead, who can extend plays, who can make big throws in big moments, and who isn’t afraid of pressure.

That’s what you want coming into Tuscaloosa.

That’s what Alabama football has been built on for years.

But what makes this even more exciting?

Seaborn isn’t coming alone.

Because while he was celebrating his own award, he was also shouting out his future teammate, EJ Crowell, who won the biggest one of them all: Mr. Football.

Crowell also won Class 4A Back of the Year, and he made history doing it as the first Mr. Football winner in Jackson program history. Not only that, but he has a shot to be a BIG playmaker for Alabama this fall.

That’s not just a trophy. That’s legacy.

And Alabama is getting that.

So just sit with that for a second…

Alabama football is bringing in a quarterback who can light up the scoreboard and a running back who has already proven he can carry a team on his back. A leader at QB. A game-changer at RB. A duo that can take over games in the SEC.

That’s how Alabama gets back on top.

Not by begging.

Not by hoping.

Not by living in the past.

But by stacking winners.

By stacking guys who are hungry.

By stacking guys who don’t just want to play at Alabama… they want to restore what Alabama football is supposed to feel like.

And I’m telling y’all right now, Seaborn and Crowell feel like the start of something.

They’re not coming to Tuscaloosa to be impressed by the lights.

They’re coming to turn them on.

Just wait.

Roll Tide!
