It doesn’t get much bigger for Week 6 of college football than the Alabama Crimson Tide hosting the Georgia Bulldogs. However, Hurricane Isaias is creating some forecast uncertainty for several major SEC matchups.
Alabama-Georgia headlines the weekend’s slate on Saturday night from Bryant-Denny Stadium. Both ranked teams are looking to move a step closer to the 2026 College Football Playoff.
Meanwhile, “College GameDay” brought on legendary Alabama meteorologist James Spann to give the latest weather report for the primetime matchup. Spann appears to be the bearer of positive news after stating that Isaias’ effects shouldn’t linger for the game.
This weekend’s storm did create a last-minute change for College GameDay, forcing the ESPN show to move its location. Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit and the rest of the crew are set up inside Coleman Coliseum, the home of the Alabama college basketball team.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Georgia Bulldogs
Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Channel: ABC
Venue: Bryant-Denny Stadium
Currently, Tuscaloosa is seeing some lingering rain and heavy winds as Hurricane Isaias moves through Alabama. But it appears game time will offer improved weather, which is good for the fans and players.
Spann’s forecast indicates temperatures should be around 70 degrees at kickoff with no rain. There’s still a possibility for lingering winds at around 15 miles per hour, but that’s a minor concern considering what the hurricane-like forces were projected to be.
The veteran weatherman made sure to leave Alabama fans with a resounding “Roll Tide” before signing off.
