Alabama kicker receives SEC honor following win vs. Florida State

Alabama senior kicker Conor Talty has been named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week for his kicking efforts in Alabama's 50-36 win over Florida State on Saturday. The SEC announced the conference's Week 3 Players of the Week on Monday.

Talty was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals on Saturday with makes of 45, 43, and 32 yards. He was also 5-for-5 on PAT's. He accounted for 14 points in the win, Alabama's margin of victory.

Talty is in his second season as Alabama's starting place-kicker and is currently 8-for-8 on field goals on the season, which puts him second nationally in field goals made. He also ranks sixth nationally in points on the season with 39.

Talty is Alabama's fourth player honored with Player of the Week accolades through the first three weeks of the season with linebackers Luke Metz and Caleb Woodson, and defensive lineman Devan Thompkins all earning honors in Week 2.

Alabama returns to SEC action this week as they host South Carolina (2-1 overall, 0-1 SEC).
