On Tuesday morning, the Alabama Crimson Tide officially landed their first transfer portal commitment of the cycle, as former Oklahoma State Cowboys tight end Josh Ford has committed to the program, per On3's Pete Nakos.

Ford had previously entered the NCAA transfer portal back in October following the firing of former Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy.

The tight end is coming off his second season at Oklahoma State in which Ford appeared in only four games for the Cowboys with three receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. Prior to this past season, Ford appeared in 12 games during the 2024 campaign as a true freshman where he caught 10 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown.

Prior to Oklahoma State, Ford was considered as a three-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class out of Stillwater High School in Oklahoma, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Ford is also currently ranked as the No. 5 overall tight end in the transfer portal, per 247Sports.

The Oklahoma State transfer will have multiple seasons of eligibility remaining.
