Alabama Predicted to Land Highly Touted 0,000 Star Quarterback Over Florida

Rivals’ 2027 Team Recruiting Rankings list the Alabama Crimson Tide at the twelfth position with no 5-star recruits. Seems like that’s about to change soon.

Recruiting experts have coalesced around Elijah Haven as the prize that could alter Alabama’s class. With an NIL value of $870,000, the 2027 recruit has massively favoured the Crimson Tide over fellow SEC suitors like the Florida Gators.

Hailing from the Dunham School in Baton Rouge, the 6-foot-5 signal caller has a 79% chance to end up in Tuscaloosa over Gainesville.

“Alabama has been the clear favorite going back to the fall for Elijah Haven,” Steve Wiltfong of Rivals wrote. “Florida, Kentucky and some others continue to keep dialogue, but the Tide remain at the top for the five-star signal-caller.”

Ranked No. 11 nationally overall, Haven earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors after throwing for 3,281 yards and 53 touchdowns. He also showcased a dual-threat profile with 635 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, leading the Tigers to an 11-1 record.

The quarterback has also maintained a GPA of 3.86. He volunteered as a youth football mentor, where Episcopal High School head coach Travis Bourgeois really appreciated his work.

“Elijah has become more of a complete player. He spreads the ball around to all of his skill players. He trusts his teammates and will not force the deep ball. He makes the players around him better by the confidence he displays.”

Sam Spiegelman and Adam Gorney both have also logged Alabama as their expert prediction. “No team has made a bigger impression on the top quarterback in the Rivals Industry Rankings more than the Crimson Tide,” Spiegelman said.

Gorney seconded that by saying, “Haven has pushed back his commitment plans numerous times but by process of elimination, the Crimson Tide still look like the strongest.”
