According to Rivals' Hayes Fawcett, the Alabama Crimson Tide are reportedly among the finalists for Junior Tu'upo.
Tu'upo is reportedly down to five finalists, per Fawcett, which are Alabama, Auburn, Indiana, Oregon, and Texas. At the moment, a potential commitment date is not set for Tu'upo.
Currently, Tu'upo is ranked as the nation's No. 246 overall prospect in the 2027 recruiting class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. A four-star recruit, Tu'upo is also ranked the nation's No. 23 safety, as well as No. 11 player in the state of Alabama where he attends Thompson High School, the same program as Trent Seaborn, a quarterback commit in the Crimson Tide's 2027 class.
Tu'upo is also coming off a junior season in which he had 66 total tackles, five TFL, and three interceptions across 13 games.
Alabama's 2027 class currently ranks No. 45 nationally, per 247Sports, with only four commitments. Of those four commitments, none are defensive backs.
