According to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz, the Alabama Crimson Tide are hiring Jake Vang as a defensive analyst for the upcoming 2026 season.
Vang comes to Alabama from Division II program Central Washington, where the Crimson Tide's newest analyst was recently hired as the team's new defensive coordinator earlier this offseason.
Prior to Central Washington, Vang recently spent the 2025 season at Sacramento State where he served as an edge rushers coach for the program. His lone season at Sacramento State, Vang also served as both a defensive analyst and quality control coach at Colorado State from 2022-24.
Vang becomes the latest hire for Alabama's 2026 coaching staff this offseason, joining others such as offensive line coach Adrian Klemm, wide receivers coach Derrick Nix, and tight ends coach Richard Owens.
