The early signing period for college football between Dec. 3-5 added 13 new players for Alabama State football.

Of the 13 signees, seven are from Alabama with the others coming from bordering states like Georgia and Mississippi.

Of the 13 new signees, eight come on the offensive side of the ball with three of the eight coming in at the receiver position. The five on the defensive side feature a heavy presence on the defensive line with others rounding out spots at linebacker and cornerback.

The Hornets are coming off one their best seasons since 2004 and little is known about what players will enter the transfer portal. If Alabama State wants to finish what it started in 2025 in the 2026 season, it can start with nailing down the recruiting periods.
