Alabama player hurdles entire defender
Alabama tight end Marshall Pritchett executed a notable hurdle during the Crimson Tide’s recent victory over No. 16 Mississippi State on October 3, 2026, at Davis Wade Stadium. The 6-foot-5, 246-pound sophomore, wearing No. 9, caught a pass and leaped over a diving defender to gain extra yards and secure a first down. The insane moment was captured by ESPN cameras, and has since become viral on social media. Many have expressed their awe at such an achievement.

Pritchett finished the game with two receptions for 46 yards, including a long of 32, plus one rush for eight yards. Through five games in the 2026 season, he has recorded five receptions for 102 yards, averaging 20.4 yards per catch, with no touchdowns. In 2025, his freshman year, he contributed seven catches for 57 yards primarily on special teams while appearing in all 15 games.
A four-star recruit out of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Georgia, Pritchett arrived at Alabama after totaling 51 receptions for 679 yards and 10 touchdowns as a high school senior. He has developed into a more complete tight end at the college football program.
The Alabama Crimson Tide will now prepare for the next game, after a great start to the season.
