Alabama wide receiver Cole Adams has officially entered the transfer portal, per CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer.
Adams struggled to make a serious impact on the Crimson Tide offense in 2025, as the receiver totaled five receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown this season. Adams’ main roll throughout the 2025 campaign was on special teams, as the former four-star recruit proved to be a more than capable return man despite having a limited role on offense.
Adams will more than likely draw interest from a number of different programs, as the Oklahoma native will officially see his time at Alabama come to an end.
Adams spent three seasons with the Crimson Tide. The redshirt sophomore playmaker was the No. 43 overall receiver from the 2023 class and the No. 5 overall player out of Oklahoma, per the 247Sports Composite rankings, as Adams could quickly find himself with a much larger role at a different school. The speedy receiver had a limited role during his three seasons in Tuscaloosa, as Adams will now turn his attention towards the transfer portal and finding his role with a new program.
The former Crimson Tide playmaker will join a number of other players that have entered the portal following the Rose Bowl loss to Indiana, as Alabama will have a number of new faces on both sides of the football in 2026.
