Alabama football took another hit to its wide receiver room.
Isaiah Horton, who transferred to the Crimson Tide from Miami before the 2025 season, will enter the NCAA transfer portal, per On3. He has one more season of eligibility.
Horton started alongside Germie Bernard and Ryan Williams in 2025. He was third on the team with 42 receptions and 511 yards receiving. He had the most touchdown receptions of any Crimson Tide receiver with eight, including three in Alabama‘s Iron Bowl win at Auburn.
“Big-time players make big-time plays,” Horton said after the Iron Bowl. “I had to do that for my team.”
Horton was close with Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson, who elected to enter the 2026 NFL Draft. Simpson and Horton played 7-on-7 football together in high school.
While at Miami, Horton had 790 yards receiving and six touchdowns on 70 catches.
Williams is expected to return to Alabama in 2026 along with Rico Scott, who reportedly entered the transfer portal, but elected to return to the Crimson Tide less than 24 hours later. Second-year receivers Lotzeir Brooks and Derek Meadows are also expected back with freshman Cederian Morgan.
Alabama also lost receivers such as Jaylen Mbakwe, Cole Adams and Aeryn “Bubba” Hampton to the transfer portal.
