Alex Golesh makes Auburn football GM switch, replacing Will Redmond

AUBURN — Andrew Warsaw, who was Alex Golesh‘s name, image and likeness (NIL) general manager and associate athletics director at South Florida, will be assuming GM duties for Auburn football.

Warsaw updated his personal social media to reflect the change, indicating he’ll be both GM and chief of staff. Multiple outlets reported earlier this week that Warsaw was following Golesh to Auburn, and On3 reported Saturday, Dec. 6, that Warsaw’s arrival was coming with a front office change.

Will Redmond, Hugh Freeze‘s general manager the past two years, won’t be retained on Golesh’s staff, according to On3.

During Redmond’s two years on Freeze’s staff, Auburn signed two top-10 signing classes and two top-20 transfer classes, including a top-10 transfer class ahead of the 2025 season. Redmond moved to Auburn from LSU, where he was named FootballScoop‘s 2022 Player Personnel Director of the Year.

Who is Andrew Warsaw? What to know about Auburn football’s new GM

Newly hired Auburn football head coach Alex Golesh watches the game as Auburn Tigers take on NC State Wolfpack at Neville Arena in Auburn, Ala. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025. Auburn Tigers defeated NC State Wolfpack 83-73.

Warsaw followed Golesh to South Florida after the two overlapped at Tennessee, when Golesh was Josh Heupel’s offensive coordinator and Warsaw was the Volunteers’ director of operations.

Prior to South Florida, Warsaw also worked for the football programs at Arizona, Fordham, Mississippi State, Penn and Purdue, as well as the National Football League.

Warsaw became the Bulls‘ NIL general manager when he moved with Golesh, and the pair produced reputable Group-of-Five signing classes. The program landed a top-50 signing class in 2024 — which it hadn’t had since a decade prior.

South Florida’s transfer portal rankings weren’t stellar. Its best transfer class, in 2025, was the 15th-highest-rated among the G5. Yahoo’s Ross Dellenger reported in September that South Florida had “perhaps the most NIL (resources) of any non-power league FBS program.”

South Florida’s talent ratings mostly ascended. The Bulls ranked 65th in 247’s talent composite in 2023. While that ranking dipped to 69th nationally in 2024, it rose eight spots, to No. 61, in 2025.
