It was quite a noteworthy week for Big Ten teams as there were a few major risers and fallers in ESPN's Football Power Index.
Remember, the FPI is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team's performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 20,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date and the remaining schedule.
There was a new No. 1 team in our Big Ten power rankings, but that's not the case here in the FPI rankings after Week 4.
Overall, Wisconsin was the biggest riser, while Maryland fell 26 spots, which was tied with Delaware for the biggest skid in the nation.
