All-Berks 2025 football team: Twin Valley’s Drew Engle named Player of the Year

Twin Valley senior Drew Engle is the BCIAA Football Player of the Year, it was announced Thursday.
Engle, a Navy lacrosse commit, gained 2,095 yards on 224 carries and scored 32 rushing touchdowns for the Raiders (14-1), who won the Lebanon-League Section 4 championship, District 3 Class 4A title and advanced to the PIAA championship game.
Twin Valley’s Brett Myers was voted the Coach of the Year.
Engle was also voted the Offensive Back of the Year and named to the all-conference first team as a defensive back. Muhlenberg senior Michael Miller Jr. was voted the Receiver of the Year.
Twin Valley senior Greyson Miller was voted the Offensive Lineman of the Year and the Defensive Lineman of the Year.
On defense, Wyomissing junior Justice Hardy is the Defensive Back of the Year, and Twin Valley junior inside linebacker Lucas Myers is the Linebacker of the Year.
The individual awards and all-star teams are voted on by the BCIAA football coaches.
Wilson senior Mason Young was voted the all-conference quarterback. He completed 146 of 224 passes for 2,199 yards and 26 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. He had a passer rating of 116 for the season.
Joining Engle in the all-conference first team backfield were Exeter’s Leo Brown and Muhlenberg’s Cam Small, both seniors.
Brown gained 2,444 yards on 281 carries and scored 28 touchdowns. Small 1,766 yards on 238 carries, scoring 25 rushing touchdowns.
Gov. Mifflin junior Patrick Steuer was selected as the all-purpose back. He rushed for 978 on 151 carries, and caught 11 passes for 90 yards.
Miller caught 39 passes for 576 yards with 5 receiving touchdowns. He also rushed for 393 yards on 53 carries and scored 7 touchdowns.
Wilson senior Jaiden Carpenter was the other all-conference receiver. He caught 35 passes for 668 yards with 11 touchdowns. His teammate, junior Michael Glover, was voted the all-conference tight end. Glover made 35 catches for 572 yards and 7 receiving touchdowns.
Joining Miller, a guard, on the all-conference offensive line were: Exeter senior center Joel Ummarino, Berks Catholic junior guard Eric Bennethum, and tackles Nate Gilfert, a Conrad Weiser senior, and Kevin Oswalt, an Exeter junior.
Muhlenberg senior Freddie Lacey was named the all-conference returner, and Berks Catholic sophomore Alex Reali was the all-conference placekicker.
Wyomissing placed four players on the all-conference first team defense in Hardy, senior outside linebacker Tyler Niedrowski, senior punter Keegan Maher and junior long snapper Zander Westwood.
Wilson had three players voted to first team defense in Glover at defensive end, junior EJ Brownback at inside linebacker, and Carpenter at defensive back.
Rounding out the first team defense were: Exeter senior end Andre Osborne and Ummarino at tackle, Mifflin’s Steuer at outside linebacker, and Reading High senior Idris Weaver at back.
