ALL-USA Football East Team nominees as 2025 regular season concludes

With the high school football regular seasons wrapped and the playoffs beginning, we’re starting to narrow our focus on the ALL-USA Football Teams.
Out east, list is impressive. It includes a quarterback in New Jersey with nearly 4,000 passing yards, a running back in North Carolina with 33 touchdowns, a defensive back in Maryland with 10 interceptions, as well as many more amazing performances.
Final selections for the ALL-USA East Region Football Team, as well as the national ALL-USA Football Team, will be announced in December.
Until the, we’re unveiling the complete list of ALL-USA East Region Football Team finalists. The East region includes athletes from Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Virginia.

Quarterbacks
Grant Lawless, East Lincoln (N.C.) – East Lincoln is 9-1 and its offense has scored at least 35 points in every win, and over 50 points four times. Lawless has 2,506 passing yards with 31 touchdowns. He has also rushed for 374 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Zaid Lott, Providence Day School (N.C.) – Providence Day School is undefeated and has scored at least 29 points in every game and over 50 three times. Lott has thrown for 1,726 yards and 23 touchdowns with just one interception. He has also rushed for 562 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Lukas Prock, Hun School (N.J.) – Through 11 games, Prock has been having an incredible year with 3,829 yards and 36 touchdowns with just six interceptions. He had a fantastic game against No. 1 nationally-ranked IMG Academy, completing 26 of 35 passes for 346 yards. His team is 7-4.
Benjamin Raines, South River (Md.) – Raines has passed for 2,520 yards and 37 touchdowns with just four interceptions. He has surpassed 300 passing yards in four games, including three of the last four.
Charles Scott Jr., Huguenot (Va.) – Scott is only a sophomore, and he has thrown for 2,576 yards and 33 touchdowns. His team 8-1, on an eight-game winning streak, and its offense is prolific. In the past four weeks it won 75-0, 42-3, 79-0 and 54-0.

Running backs
Andrew Avent, Rahway (N.J) – Avant has 1,961 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns. He has rushed for at least 100 yards in nine of his team’s 10 games. He is also a force on defense, with 57 tackles and 10.5 sacks.
JJ Gulat, Dixon (N.C.) – Gulat has rushed for at least 200 yards in each of his team’s games. In all, he has 2,709 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns. His team is 5-5.
Elijah Kimble, Canisius (N.Y.) – In games, Kimble has rushed for 1,269 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also has nine receptions for 168 yards and a touchdown and sometimes returns kickoffs and punts as well.
Jayson Franklin, Seventy-First (N.C.) – Franklin has gone over 100 rushing yards in each of his team’s eight games. In all, he has 1,233 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns, with an average of 11.1 yards per carry. His team has won six straight games.
Kemon Spell, McKeesport (Pa.) – The No. 1 ranked running back in the country in the 2027 class, Spell decommitted from Penn State after James Franklins was fired last month. He immediately put himself on the radar of every Power 5 team in the country by rushing for 237 yards and four touchdowns, adding a 66-yard receiving touchdown and an 86-yard punt return, in a win over rival Mars.

Messiah Hampton finished with 95 yards, and in the process became Section V’s all-time leading receiver with over 2,300 career yards.

Wide receivers
Tyreek Cooper, Kinston (N.C.) – Cooper leads the state of North Carolina with 1,523 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns. He has 73 receptions and is averaging 20.9 yards per catch. He has gone over 100 receiving yards in each of his team’s past seven games.
Messiah Hampton, James Monroe (N.Y.) – Hampton has 42 catches for 859 yards and nine touchdowns in eight games this year. His team is undefeated. He is averaging 20.5 yards per reception.
Jaden McDuffie, South River (Md.) – McDuffie has 41 catches for 1,012 yards for 9-0 South River. He has gone over 100 receiving yards in six games and has 13 touchdowns. He is averaging 24.7 yards per catch.
Connor Salmin, The Bullis School (Md.) – Salmin has 38 catches for 807 yards and nine touchdowns in eight games. He is averaging 21.2 yards per catch. He also has 235 kickoff return yards.
Jaxson Hanzely, DuBois (Penn.) – Hanzley has 72 catches for 1,590 yards, an average of 22.1 yards per receptions. He also has 21 touchdowns in 11 games, including five games with three touchdowns. He also plays defense and has three interceptions as a safety.

Tight ends
Jaxon Dollar, East Lincoln (N.C.) – Dollar has shined in East Lincoln’s passing game, with 42 receptions for 1,001 and 18 touchdowns. He had at least one touchdown in each of his team’s first eight games, including four in a game twice. His team is 9-1.
Tommy Douglas, Hun School (N.J.) – Douglas has caught 26 passes for 512 yards and two touchdowns. He had four catches against No. 2 nationally-ranked IMG Academy.
Kendre Harrison, Reidsville (N.C.) – Harrison has 43 receptions for 655 yards and 16 touchdowns. Reidsville has won seven straight games and has scored at least 40 points in each of them.
Brady Owens, Yorktown (Va.) – In nine games, Owens has 37 catches for 460 yards and three touchdowns. His team has won three straight games.
William Vaughn, Kings Mountain (N.C.) – In eight games, Vaughn has 26 catches for 427 yards with nine touchdowns. He had at least one touchdown in each of his team’s first six games.

Offensive line
Kevin Brown, Harrisburg (Pa.) – Harrisburg is10-0, and Brown has anchored the offensive line from his offensive tackle position. Harrisburg is averaging 185 rushing yards per game and 201 passing yards per game. It has scored 20 or more points in every game.
Leo Delaney, Providence Day School (N.C.) – In its past six games, Providence Day has gone over 40 points each game and scored 71 against Christ School. Delaney has been stellar from his position on the interior offensive line, helping his team average 207 passing yards and 185 rushing yards per game.
Darius Gray, St. Christopher’s School (Va.) – Gray is the top-rated interior offensive lineman in the senior class and is committed to South Carolina. St. Christopher’s School is 7-3, and Gray is adept at both pass blocking and at clearing holes for runners.
James Halter, Central Catholic (Pa.) – After falling to La Salle College in its season opener, Central Catholic has won nine straight. Bookended at tackle by Halter and fellow top recruit Jimmy Kalis, its offense has been dominant, scoring more than 40 points six times.
Carter Scruggs, Loudoun County (Va.) – Loudoun County is 8-1 and has been in some real battles recently, falling to Jefferson 35-34 and beating Woodgrove 21-20. Through it all, Scruggs has been a terror in the trenches from his interior offensive line spot. He is a Clemson recruit.

Defensive line
Jason Eaton, Mountain Island Charter (N.C.) – In 11 games, Eaton has put up some big numbers with76 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, three quarterback hurries, an intereception and a fumble recovery.
Zion Elee, St. Frances Academy (Md.) – South Carolina and Maryland are in a bitter recruiting battle for Elee for good reason. Most experts consider him to be the top defensive recruit in the 2026 class, and some think he is the best overall player. He is currently committed to Maryland.
Ebenezer Ewetade, South Garner (N.C.) – Ewetade has 62 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries four pass deflections with a blocked punt and a blocked fieldl goal.
Elijah Littlejohn, West Charlotte (N.C.) – Littlejohn has 42 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, eight sacks and 20 quarterback hurries.
Luke Wafle, Hun School (N.J.) – According to the Max Preps statistics, Wafle is seventh in the country with 23 sacks. He has 99 tackles and 37 tackles for loss.

Linebackers
Nick Abrams II, Owings Mills (Md.) – Owings Mills is on a three game winning streak that has included two shutouts, the team’s third of the season. Abrams has 61 tackles, eight tackles for loss and four sacks.
Maurice Barnes, Bishop McDevitt (Pa.) – Bishop McDevitt is 9-2 after losing its first two games. Barnes has 63 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, seven quarterback hurries and two pass deflections.
Quinton Cypher, Millbrook (N.C.) – Millbrook is 10-0 and Cypher is the centerpiece of a dominant defense that has four shutouts and has not give up more than 15 points in a game. Cypher has 139 tackles, 39 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Jalaythan Mayfield, Lincolnton (N.C.) – Mayfield has racked up 104 tackles for 8-2 Lincolnton. That includes 20 tackles for loss, six sacks, two quarterback hurries, four forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
Roman Thompson, Central Catholic (Pa.) – After losing its season opener, Central Catholic has won 10 straight. Thompson has 74 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Defensive backs
Davion Jones, West Charlotte (N.C.) – West Charlotte has won seven straight games and gave up 23 total points during that stretch. Jones has 42 tackles, a tackle for loss, three interceptions, three pass deflections, two forced fumbles and a blocked punt.
Mailik Jones, Sallie B. Howard (N.C.) – Jones has had an interception in 10 of his team’s 11 games, for a total of 11. The sophomore also has a pair of pass deflections, 17 tackles and a forced fumble.
Camdin Portis, Myers Park (N.C.) – Portis has 49 tackles this season, including a tackle for a loss, with three interceptions, a forced fumble and a blocked punt. His team is 8-2.
Jayden Sharper, Urbana (Md.) – Sharper has at least interception in seven games this year, but it’s safe to say he loves playing Tuscarora. Urbana beat that team twice and Sharper had three interceptions the first game and two more the second. On the season he has 21 tackles, three tackles for loss, 10 interceptions and seven pass deflections.
Jordan Thomas, Bergen Catholic (N.J.) – Thomas has been an anchor for a Bergen Catholic defense that routinely keeps its opponents under 15 points. He has 48 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and a blocked punt.
Following last night’s win, Don Bosco Prep head coach Dan Sabella presented sophomore Thomas LaBarbiera with the game ball.

Coach
Elijah Brooks, DeMatha (Md.) – DeMatha is 9-0 and its defense has been fierce. The Stags have given up 17 points or less in eight of its games.
Casey Brown, Christian Brothers Academy (N.Y.) – Christian Brothers has been putting up huge points on its way to a 9-0 record. It has scored 40 or more points in all but two games.
Darryl Brown, Grimsley (N.C.) – Grimsley is 10-0. It has not yielded more than 14 points in any of its last seven games, and has scored more than 40 points seven times this year.
Brett Gordon, La Salle College (Pa.) – This season, Gordon happily watched his school records for career passing yards and career passing touchdowns fall to his senior quarterback, Gavin Sidwar. La Salle is 9-1 and has scored over 30 points seven times.
Dan Sabella, Don Bosco (N.J.) – Don Bosco is 9-0, which includes a big 14-9 win over Bergen Catholic and a 17-14 overtime win over St. Joseph Regional. Its defense has allowed 10 points or less in six games.
