One of the top 2028 recruits in the nation is hoping to receive an offer from Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers.

2028 five-star quarterback Donald Tabron II won’t make a decision on his college future anytime soon, but he’s already one of the most coveted recruits in the nation.

Tabron, 6-foot-4/180 pounds from Detroit, MI, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 4 quarterback in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of Michigan. He’s also rated as the No. 28 overall player in the 2028 recruiting class.

Donald Tabron II is hoping to receive an offer from LSU

Tabron told Rivals.com this week that LSU is one of the programs he’s hoping to receive an offer from.

“LSU is one school I would love to get an offer from,” said Tabron. “I like their school and Lane Kiffin is there now.”

Tabron holds notable offers from Auburn, Indiana, Miami, Michigan, Oregon, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech.

It’ll be interesting to see how Kiffin approaches the quarterback position at LSU. Kiffin leaned heavily on the transfer portal for quarterbacks at Ole Miss. Will Kiffin choose to be more aggressive with high school recruiting at LSU? That’s a question we’ll learn the answer to in the coming years.

As for Tabron, it’s worth noting that he led Cass Tech to a state championship as a high school freshman. The kid is obviously a winner and a leader.
