Anderson junior Ace Alston has been named to the MaxPreps junior All-American football team. The defensive back has been named to the second team.
Alston had 53 tackles, 17 pass break-ups and two interceptions for the Raptors, who were 14-1 and Division II state runner-up. He recently verbally committed to Notre Dame, and has a new scholarship offer from Florida.
He is one of three Ohio players who was named either to the first or second team. Previously, Alston was first team All-Ohio and All-Southwest District.
In a social media post sharing a link to his junior-year highlights on Hudl, Alston stated that he was targeted on 12% of coverage snaps and allowed only a 29% pass completion rate.
Alston is also preparing to play in the Polynesian Bowl all-star game next week.
The Polynesian Bowl is 6 p.m. Eastern time, Friday, January 16 in Honolulu, and will be televised on NFL Network.
Alston is the only Cincinnati player invited to the game. Former Withrow wide receiver Chris Henry, Jr., an Ohio State signee and son of deceased former Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry who is now in California, is also on the 2026 roster for the Polynesian Bowl, according to the website for the game.
