AP Poll Top 25 Week 12: Latest Rankings and What They Got Right & Wrong

The top five stayed the same, but the rest of the Week 12 AP Top 25 poll had massive changes everywhere else.
Oklahoma stayed put at 11, but everything else in the bottom 20 is different, including the addition of three new teams in the mix.
Here’s what the AP got right and wrong, with the full rankings below.
AP Top 25 College Football Rankings Week 12
What the AP Poll Got Right
– Finally, the AP figured out that Texas should be ahead of Oklahoma. Neither team played, but the Longhorns still moved up three spots to the 10.
– Unlike the Coaches Poll, the AP has USC (17) and Michigan (18) right.
– Putting USF (25) in and Missouri (27) out isn’t a bad call.
What the AP Poll Got Wrong
– Seriously, AP? Virginia beating Louisville is the biggest key to the whole ACC season so far. Virginia has one more win, and it’s 20, Louisville 19.
– Nitpicking, but Tennessee and Missouri are both about the same – neither one has a great win, and they have similar records. Vols a bit too high at 21, Missouri at 27.
– San Diego State receiving five votes/points meant a few voters went to bed too early.
