Arch Manning's first season as Texas' full-time starter has been an adventure of sorts. The Longhorns signal-caller entered the year basking in adulation, with many crowning him the Heisman Trophy frontrunner.

That didn't come into fruition, in the end. Manning showed flashes of brilliance during his maiden season as Texas starter. But he was also felled by inconsistency as the Longhorns fell short of the College Football Playoff.

Manning already announced his intention to return to campus come 2026. He'll get one more chance to flaunt his talent before the end of his redshirt sophomore season on New Year's Eve when the Longhorns take on Michigan in the Citrus Bowl.

The Sporting News is tracking live updates from Manning's final game of the season. Follow below for highlights and analysis as Manning attempts to end 2025 on a high with a fiery outburst against the Wolverines.

Arch Manning live updates, highlights from 2025 Citrus Bowl

All times ET.

4:39 p.m. — The Texas defense held strong and forced a three-and-out. The Longhorns' offense takes over with 2:44 left in the first half in a tie game.

Texas only ran one play ahead of the two-minute timeout, and it was a traditional run that went for 10 yards to get the Longhorns to the Michigan 45-yard line.

After the break, the QB had a screen pass to the left but it only went for one yard. Manning scrambled out of the pocket and ran for 10 yards to get down to the 21-yard line. He had an incompletion on the next play, and it looked like he had a touchdown, but his would be receiver was obliterated by a defensive player and he dropped the ball.

On third and long, Texas was all over the place. It looked like Steve Sarkisian wanted to call a timeout, but the ball was hiked and they had a loss of 12 which was attributed to Manning's rush total.

4:27 p.m. — Texas forced a punt and got the ball back with 6:43 left in the first half, with the game still tied at 17.

Manning started the drive with a 12-yard pass. His next pass was tipped at the line of scrimmage and nearly picked off. After a holding call, Manning scrambled up the middle for five yards. On third and long, he had an incomplete pass to end the drive.

4:17 p.m. — Michigan drove down the field and scored a touchdown, so Manning takes the field again trailing by seven, this time 17-10 with 10:17 left in the half.

The Texas QB started the drive with a five-yard pass. It looked like he had a 20-yard run, but it was called back due to holding. He followed it up with a 15-yard completion.

Manning had an incompletion, but then hit Wingo for a big gain of 26 yards to get to the Michigan 45.

Manning then had an incompletion down the left sideline. The Texas QB then threw a 17-yard strike to tight end Jack Endries in the endzone and Manning's 25th touchdown pass of the year.

3:53 p.m. — After the break, the Longhorns benefited from an offside call to set up third and one. Texas ran up the middle for no gain, and went for it on fourth. Manning took the snap himself and ran to the left for a huge gain of 19.

The Longhorns scored a rushing touchdown on the next play.

3:48 p.m. — Michigan capitalized on the turnover scoring a touchdown. Manning took the field again with 3:15 left in the first quarter, trailing 10-3.

The Texas QB started the next drive with back-to-back completions for a total of 11 yards. Manning threw deep later in the drive, but barely overthrew Parker Livingston, who couldn't bring in the ball that hit off his fingers. He then threw a quick pass to the sideline, and the receiver took it 20 yards to the Michigan 31-yard line.

A run by Manning for three yards brought up third down and the end of the first quarter.

3:37 p.m. — Manning's next drive will have to wait. Michigan kicked a field goal and then forced a fumble on the ensuing kickoff.

3:22 p.m. — It was a quick second drive for Manning. The QB had an incompletion on first down and a nine-yard incompletion to Wingo. The Longhorns running back lost two yards on third down and the Longhorns punted.

3:12 p.m. — Manning's day started rough. He completed his first two passes, but for a gain and a loss of one, respectively. Manning then aired it out and picked up a fresh set of downs with a 22-yard completion to Ryan Wingo.

Facing another third down, Manning had an incomplete pass. On fourth and four, the Longhorns elected for the 43-yard field goal, which Texas made.

3:07 p.m. — Michigan won the toss and deferred so Texas, and Manning, will start with the ball.
