The Arizona Wildcats take on the Washington State Cougars in Pullman, WA. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on CBS/Paramount+.

Arizona is favored by -10 points on the spread with a moneyline of -425. The total is set at 48.5 points.

It should come as no surprise as to why Arizona enters Saturday’s Big 12 clash as a double-digit road favorite.

In the third season under HC Brent Brennan, the Wildcats look to improve on 2025’s 9-4 overall record and will surely aim for a 10-win campaign in 2026 despite having to navigate a far more challenging conference schedule.

While the Wildcats have prevailed in two of their first three games of the season thus far, Arizona QB Noah Fifita has been nothing short of sensational in his three starts.

The fifth-year senior QB has been the face of the program for half a decade, a feat that’s become increasingly more rare in the transfer portal era.

In his first three years under center, Fifita collectively racked up over 3,000 passing yards, along with nearly 25 touchdowns on average.

The Wildcat senior has picked up right where he left off in 2025, already throwing for 834 passing yards with seven passing TDs and just one interception in 2026.

Fifta has been exceptional over Arizona’s first three games this season, evident through a rather impressive 86.6 QBR, which ranks 12th in all of college football.

Fifita’s breakout 2025 campaign can largely be attributed to Seth Doege’s arrival in Tucson to take over as the Wildcats’ offensive coordinator.

Sophomore wideout Gio Richardson is off to a great start to his second season with the Wildcats and has emerged as Fifta’s premier target in an up-tempo Wildcat offensive scheme.

Despite losing many receivers to the portal, Kris Hutson and Javin Whatley amongst a few others, Richardson has shined thus far, hauling in 14 passes for 161 yards in his first three games.

Arizona senior RB Kedrick Reescano is having a stellar third year for the Wildcats as well, as he’s already rushed for 127 yards with two touchdowns.

The Wildcats lost a ton of talent defensively, with six of their seven top tacklers moving on from the program in the offseason. Also, four players from Arizona’s 2025 secondary left the team, signing contracts with NFL teams as undrafted free agents.

Washington State is in the midst of a new era that began with the departure of former Cougars head coach Jimmy Rogers.

While much of the Cougar faithful was sad to see Rogers abandon his post in Pullman, most have embraced the refreshing new energy spread throughout the program thanks to offensive specialist Kirby Moore.

It has been far from an ideal start to the new Moore era, though, with the Cougars dropping each of their first two games.

While Washington State’s opening loss on the road at Washington was pretty understandable versus a well-coached Husky bunch with a ton of both experience and talent, it’s the absolute beatdown Kansas State handed the Cougars that surely brought some further cause for concern.

UC Davis transfer Caden Pinnick was acquired from the portal this offseason to take over as the Cougars’ starting QB and has struggled mightily in his transition to playing FBS-level competition.

Pinnick has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns over his first three games under center and ranks well outside the top 100 in the country in QBR, with the Cougars’ sophomore currently posting a 34.3 rating.

The Cougars’ rushing attack hasn’t been pretty either, as junior starting RB Kirby Vorhees has racked up just 171 yards on the ground over three games (109 yards of those occurred in Washington State’s sole victory versus Duquesne, an FCS-level opponent).

It’s been far from pretty on the defensive side of the football too, with the Cougars allowing nearly 30 points per game versus its two FBS opponents this season.

While the Cougars’ dominant victory over Duquesne in their last game is somewhat of a sigh of relief within the program, I definitely don’t share that sentiment as Moore’s bunch prepares to host a very athletically gifted Arizona squad.

Given the vast experience throughout Arizona’s offense and the lack thereof on its defensive unit, I favor targeting some Wildcat player prop markets in a game I expect Brennan’s bunch to produce plenty of offense.

As my primary handicap, I feel confident backing Arizona’s senior leader and QB in Fifita to throw for at least two touchdown passes on Saturday, with a relatively steep -160 price tag that I still feel has some value versus an abysmal Cougars defense.
