FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football secured the commitments of two defensive backs during the final day of the 2026 transfer portal window.

Former Colorado Safety Carter Stoutmire and West Georgia cornerback Kyeaure Magloire both signed with the Razorbacks on Friday, Jan. 16. Ryan Silverfield has more than 30 commits in the fold, but he still needs some help in the secondary with safety depth representing the last hole on the roster.

Stoutmire played in eight games and started seven as a junior with the Buffaloes in 2025. He finished the season with 38 total tackles, five pass breakups, two quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. He missed four games due to injury.

The Texas native was a three-star prospect coming out of the high school ranks in 2023. His father is Omar Stoutmire, who played in the NFL for more than a decade and had a successful collegiate career at Fresno State.

Carter should come in and immediately compete to be one of Arkansas‘ starting safeties in 2026. Larry Worth III and Caleb Wooden are out of eligibility, while Miguel Mitchell entered the transfer portal. They were the Razorbacks’ primary safeties this past fall.

Another potential starting safety is Christian Harrison, who is transferring to Arkansas from Cincinnati. Harrison began his career at Tennessee but spent last season with the Bearcats. He logged 66 tackles, seven pass deflections and one interception. His position coach at Cincinnati, Eddie Hicks, is now the cornerbacks coach at Arkansas.

Magloire finished with 42 tackles, two interceptions, five pass deflections and two forced fumbles with West Georgia in 2025. He began his career at Eastern Kentucky and will have one year of eligibility remaining with Arkansas.

Magloire also had offers from Auburn, Louisville and West Virginia, according to 247Sports.
