Arkansas vs Texas A&M Prediction: Can the Aggies Save Their Season?
NCAAF College Football News, Photos, Stats, Scores, Schedule & Videos...
Texas A&M (2-2) was supposed to be knee-deep in the SEC and national title hunt after going to the College Football Playoff last year.
No one’s on any hot seat or anything, but after getting walloped by Kentucky and LSU by a combined score of 66-27, and with a tough run ahead, it’s desperation time in College Station.
Arkansas (2-2) is just getting going under new head coach Ryan Silverfield, and it’s coming off a strong 34-6 win over a Tulsa team that beat Oklahoma State. It got rocked by Georgia 45-17 to start the SEC season, but win this, and the expectations for the season will quickly change.

Why Arkansas Will Win
Are we all reading Arkansas wrong? It hasn’t won an SEC game since beating Mississippi State in October of 2024. This year’s team is starting over and got rocked by Georgia and Utah, but those two teams might be outliers – they’re two of the best teams in the country.
The Hogs were strong against a decent Tulsa team, and there’s enough of a passing game and overall offense to bother a Texas A&M defense that got lit up over the last three games through the air. Hog quarterback KJ Jackson was sharp against Georgia and Tulsa.
Why Texas A&M Will Win
The Arkansas passing game might be solid, but the running game didn’t go anywhere against Utah or Georgia – netting 78 yards against the two – and struggled against Tulsa.
Texas A&M, though, has to get its own offense working. The passing game was miserable against LSU, there wasn’t any consistency against Kentucky, and the mistakes piled up with four interceptions thrown in the two games, three coming from Marcel Reed.
Arkansas won’t bring much of a pass rush. Safe throws, give the running game time to work, and hope the defense can turn things up a few notches.
Arkansas vs Texas A&M Prediction, Betting Lines
Texas A&M still won’t look and play like a threat to take down the College Football Playoff, but it’ll be more like the version that held up defensively against Arizona State, capitalizing on four takeaways to pull off a 48-20 win.
The Aggies won’t force that many turnovers, but they’ll tighten up, and at home, the offense will come up with two decent enough scoring drives to help stop the slide – for now.
