Florida State football quarterback Ashton Daniels was slow to get up and left the game after taking a hit while sliding from Miami's Zechariah Poyser.

Poyser was ejected for targeting after a video review upheld the call. Daniels remained on the ground and looked visibly shaken after the hit; however, he was able to run off the field as the officials began the review process. Daniels went to the medical tent for evaluation.

Daniels returned to the field on the next drive.

Daniels slid after a 15-yard scramble that gave FSU a first down. Poyser launched into the head area of the sliding quarterback and was flagged for the hit immediately.

Poyser was ejected, which is a blow to Miami's secondary, which lost Bryce Fitzgerald on the first play of the game.

Backup quarterback Kevin Sperry replaced him with the Seminoles trailing 7-0 in the first quarter. The game is on ESPN.
