New Auburn head coach Alex Golesh has a chance to remake the program in his image, and he has landed a standout defensive prospect for the 2027 recruiting class.
USA TODAY's Montgomery Advertiser reports that the Tigers have received a commitment from four-star edge rusher James Pace. He stands just a shade over six-foot-two and weighs 225 pounds.
His junior season at DeMatha Catholic in Maryland ended with 14 sacks and 81 total tackles.
It may or may not be a coincidence that his high school teammate, safety Knyair Crumb, also committed to Auburn earlier in the week for the Tigers' 2027 class.

The Tigers finished in the middle of the pack in the SEC in total sacks a year ago, and that might be something coach Golesh hopes will improve in the next couple of seasons.
