Four-star interior offensive lineman Reed Ramsier shared last week that he is down to two schools, Auburn and Texas. Just how high is Auburn on his radar as a new week begins?
Auburn is trending heavily for the top-20 offensive lineman after hosting Ramsier for a weekend visit. A trio of Rivals recruiting experts, including the site’s Vice President of Recruiting, Steve Wiltfong, submitted predictions favoring Auburn to add Ramsier to its 2027 recruiting haul. 247Sports’ Zach Blostein is also confident that Ramsier will choose the Tigers over SEC rival Texas.
Ramsier’s recent official visit may have sealed the deal for Auburn. Not only does Auburn hold four predictions from credible experts, but Ramsier himself provided an update of his recruitment during his visit that will excite Auburn football fans.
“As of right now, I would say Auburn is above Texas,” Ramsier said during his visit to Auburn last weekend, via Jeffrey Lee of Rivals.
Although there is no set date for Ramsier to commit, his decision could come soon. Ramsier is set to visit Texas this weekend and could commit sometime after departing Austin.
Ramsier, a 6-foot-4, 290-pound interior lineman from Orlando, Florida, would be a valued addition to Auburn’s 2027 recruiting class, which has grown drastically and has shot up the rankings over the last three weeks. Entering a new week, Auburn ranks No. 23 in 247Sports’ 2027 rankings with 14 commitments.
Should Ramsier commit to Auburn, he would be the sixth player rated 90 or higher to join Auburn’s 2027 class. Ramsier holds a rating of 90 according to 247Sports and is the No. 12 interior offensive lineman from the cycle.
