Auburn football's 2026 recruiting class has added another member.
Mason Mathis, a three-star offensive lineman from Pace, Florida, signed with Auburn on Saturday morning, becoming the 18th member of the class. Mathis was originally set to join USF's 2026 class, but he backed off his pledge late Friday and submitted his paperwork to Auburn.
Mathis is a 6-5, 310-pound offensive tackle that has experience at multiple positions on the offensive line, and he placed in the top 10 in the state of Florida in power lifting as an 11th grader. He joins a list of players including tight end DJ Broughton and quarterback Rhys Brush to flip their commitments from USF to Auburn to follow Alex Golesh to his new job.
Auburn now has 18 members in its 2026 signing class, and ranks No. 41 nationally according to 247Sports. Mathis is the No. 140 tackle for the class and is the No. 193 player from Florida.
