Auburn football adds Missouri EDGE transfer Nate Johnson

AUBURN — Nate Johnson, a transfer edge rusher who spent last season at Missouri, has signed with Auburn football, a source confirmed to the Montgomery Advertiser.

Johnson’s the 18th addition to Auburn‘s transfer class, and he’s one of just two additions on the front seven. He’ll have one season of eligibility remaining.

In one season in the SEC, Johnson played nine games and made six tackles, one of which was a tackle for loss. He transferred there from Appalachian State, however, and in two seasons with the Mountaineers, he was highly productive. Johnson tallied 77 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in two seasons against Sun Belt competition.
