AUBURN — While the carousel of transfer movement continued spinning, Auburn football made headway with its 2027 recruiting class Monday, Jan. 19, landing a commitment from tight end Trae “Tank” Proctor.

Proctor, a three-star prospect from Plantation, Florida, is Auburn‘s first commitment of the 2027 cycle. He visited the program during its junior day festivities this past weekend, freshly removed from a productive junior season.

With 30 catches for 604 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, Proctor helped Miami Southridge High School to an 11-2 record and district title in 2025.

Proctor’s the starting point for a recruiting class head coach Alex Golesh and his staff will surely look to improve upon, as their 2026 class ranked 30th nationally, according to 247Sports’ composite ratings. The 16-signee contingent included five blue-chip prospects, and it ranked 11th in the SEC.
