One of the top defensive linemen in the 2028 recruiting class named his top nine schools on Wednesday, according to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
Tyzon Swann is a four-star prospect in the 2028 class out of Indian Head, Maryland. He plays at Henry E. Lackey High School, where he is rated as the No. 1 player in Maryland according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is rated as the No. 2 defensive lineman nationally and the No. 10 player overall. He named Auburn along with Alabama, Florida, LSU, Maryland, Ohio State, Oklahoma, UCLA, and USC in his top nine schools. He has also received offers from schools like North Carolina, Louisville, and Vanderbilt.
During the 2025 season, he had 16 sacks along with 135 tackles and 50 tackles for loss. He also showed an ability to create opportunities for the offense by forcing eight fumbles during the season. It will be worth the time for Auburn fans to pay attention to what Swann does this upcoming season. Leading the recruiting effort for Swann is Coleman Hutzler, who coaches the buck and EDGE positions for the Tigers.
The Tigers currently have four upperclassmen on the defensive line, including Chris Murray and Dallas Walker IV. Auburn has two defensive linemen committed for the 2027 recruiting class with Donivan Moore and Nate Kamba, who are both four-star prospects.
