Alex Golesh is looking to add some talent at wide receiver for the 2027 recruiting class for the Auburn Tigers. On Wednesday, Auburn Undercover reporter Christian Clemente reported that 2027 four-star wide receiver Cam Wade has visited the school. Wade is currently being recruited by former Auburn player and current assistant coach Kodi Burns.

Wade is part of the 2027 recruiting class, and he is playing high school football for Paducah Tilghman from Paducah, Kentucky. Currently, for 247Sports, Ward is ranked as the No. 6 player in Kentucky and No. 48 wide receiver nationally. Other schools showing interest in Wade are Florida State, Maryland, LSU, and Louisville. The Tigers' 2027 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 39 with two verbal commitments. Four-star defensive lineman Donivan Moore and three-star tight end Trae Proctor made their pledges to the Tigers in January and February.

Golesh and Burns had to rebuild the current Auburn wide receiver room when Cam Coleman, Perry Thompson, and Malcolm Simmons all decided to leave the program. Auburn was able to land transfers from South Florida in Keshaun Singleton, Chas Nimrod, Christian Neptune, and Jeremiah Koger. Bryce Cain is the only remaining receiver from the "Freeze Four" that was signed during the 2024 class.

The Tigers signed the No. 22 recruiting class per 247Sports that featured three wide receivers. Auburn signed three-star prospects with Brady Marchese (Cartersville, Georgia), Deshawn Spencer (Saraland, Alabama), and Brian Williams Jr. (Orlando, Florida). The Auburn wide receivers will have plenty of opportunities to make big plays on offense for Golesh.
