Austin Peay football vs Vanderbilt, live updates and scores for Week 1 game

Austin Peay football looks to pull off a massive upset in Nashville, traveling to FirstBank Stadium to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday at 6 p.m. CT (SEC Network+)

This is just the third meeting between the two programs, with the last result favoring the Commodores, 47-7, on Sept. 19, 2015. Saturday's game will be Vanderbilt's season opener, while Austin Peay is coming off a 35-17 win over Gardner-Webb on Aug. 27 at Frotera Stadium.

Redshirt junior quarterback Chris Parson threw for 308 yards and a touchdown. Running back Courtland Simmons rushed for 73 yards on 11 attempts and two TDs.
