On Tuesday night, the initial CFP Availability Report was officially revealed for the first round matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Oklahoma Sooners.
Set to take place this upcoming Friday night in Norman, both the Crimson Tide and Sooners had some prominent names dealing with injuries entering the week, with their status now a bit clearer for the CFP first round matchup.
Among those were a pair of defensive starters, while Alabama also had multiple prominent offensive names who were dealing with injuries coming out of the SEC title game as well.
Following is the initial CFP Availability Report for Alabama vs. Oklahoma.

Arguably the biggest takeaway from Tuesday’s CFP Availability Report was the status of Alabama defensive lineman LT Overton, as the started was officially listed as out. One of Alabama’s top pass rushers, Overton also missed the SEC Championship Game.
Another notable takeaway from Tuesday night’s report was the status of starting tight end Josh Cuevas, who is now questionable for Friday night. Alabama starting running back Jam Miller, who has also been dealing with an injury, was not listed.
For the Sooners, arguably the biggest takeaway was the fact that starting defensive lineman R Mason Thomas was not listed. Thomas, who has not played since Nov. 1 against Tennessee, is one of the top pass rushers in the SEC, and appears set to play Friday night.
Alabama vs. Oklahoma is set to kickoff at 8 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN this Friday, Dec. 19.
