Badgers continue recruiting tear with four star RB commit

The Wisconsin Badgers have been heating up on the recruiting trail, and they aren’t stopping. The Badgers landed a commitment from four-star in-state running back Kingston Allen on Friday, bumping their 2027 class up to eight commits.

Allen, who attends Notre Dame Academy, is considered a top-150 recruit and the No. 1 overall player in the state of Wisconsin in the Class of 2027 by 247Sports. He’s also seen as the No. 6 overall running back in the country, and is a huge get for the Badgers.

Wisconsin has placed a huge emphasis on in-state recruiting in one of the best cycles in the state ever. They’ve now landed eight of the top 10 recruits in the state, and Allen’s commitment is arguably the biggest of them all.

Wisconsin offered Allen back in November of 2025, becoming his fifth official offer, and they quickly became the favorites in his recruitment after that. The running back recently visited Wisconsin on a spring visit, where he met with new running backs coach Jayden Everett, who became the lead recruiter for Allen after coming to Wisconsin.

Allen was the 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year in Wisconsin after rushing for 3,436 yards and 57 touchdowns, which were both single-season state records. He also rushed for 1,741 yards and 27 touchdowns in five games during the postseason.

Allen is the first running back in the class for the Badgers, who still have a couple of targets on the board at the position. Now, committed to Wisconsin, he’s got the chance to join a long list of heralded Badgers backs.
