The Wisconsin Badgers got some big news in their 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday, as four-star offensive lineman Brady Bekkenhuis flipped from the Boston College Eagles and committed to the program.
Bekkenhuis, the No. 3 recruit in the state of Massachusetts according to 247Sports, had been committed to Boston College since August of 2024.
That didn’t stop some major programs from poking around, as the Auburn Tigers were also interested in flipping Bekkenhuis, even looking to schedule an official visit with the four-star.
But, Wisconsin got Bekkenhuis on campus this past weekend for their win over the Illinois Fighting Illini, and was able to secure a commitment from him shortly after.
He becomes the 14th commit in Wisconsin’s 2026 class, and the lone offensive line commit after former verbal pledges Benjamin Novak and Maddox Cochrane both de-committed from the program recently. Novak flipped to the Indiana Hoosiers to stay in-state, while Cochrane is also expected to stay close to home in the Virginia area.
Wisconsin still has some work to do in its 2026 recruiting class, but Bekkenhuis is a good pickup at this part of the cycle and is rated as a higher recruit than both Novak and Cochrane on the 247Sports Composite.
