There’s a reunion happening this weekend in Oxford, Mississippi.

However, I have a feeling this one will be far from cordial as the #7 LSU Tigers arrive to take on the #8 Ole Miss Rebels on a national stage. Lane Kiffin will be leading the Purple and Gold out into a stadium that he called home for the previous six seasons.

The “Prodigal” Son Returns

Lane Kiffin will step back into Oxford for the first time since leaving in a cloud of fury and chaos nine months ago. Since then, players have been sued, LSU was nearly kicked out of the Southeastern Conference, and many curse words and inappropriate signs/banners have been hung. The fans at Ole Miss will not receive Kiffin well on Saturday night, and it should create one of the craziest environments the University of Mississippi has ever had.

Chambliss & Lacy vs LSU Defense

There’s no doubt that Trinidad Chambliss and Kewan Lacy are one of the best offensive duos in college football. They are both incredibly dynamic, high-IQ playmakers that will hurt any defense if they aren’t careful. LSU will definitely have their hands full, but Blake Baker’s defense has also shown early on that they are one of the best defenses nationally as well and should make for an exciting battle.

Have to Quiet the Crowd EARLY

The Tigers will need to get the home crowd out of this one quickly. If you start the game on offense, move the ball and score to get them back in their seats. If you start on defense, the quick three-and-out or a turnover will be sure to silence the crowd and put the ever-swinging momentum right back into your hands.
