Bengals in attendance at Orange Bowl

It’s almost Draft season again, and the Cincinnati Bengals are doing their research.

According to Ryan Fowler, they were among the teams that sent reps to the Orange Bowl between Oregon and Texas Tech.

It’s quite possible the Bengals were there to see Texas Tech edge defender David Bailey in person. And he didn’t disappoint, finishing with nine tackles, one sack, two passes defended, two tackles for loss, and a QB hit that resulted in an interception.

Here is John Sheeran’s take on Bailey’s play:

What really stood out was Bailey’s explosion paired with strength and bend. He got off the ball quickly, and gave Oregon’s offensive tackles fits around the edge, and with power moves. He stayed disrupting the pocket for all quarters despite the lopsided score… He’s been a productive force off the edge for the entire 2025 season with 13.5 sacks and 17.5 tackles for loss through the 13 games that got the Red Raiders into the CFP.

It’s not clear where the Bengals will pick, but if Bailey is there, it would make sense to pick up the highly productive defensive player.
