Bevo is headed to Orlando. The Texas Longhorns mascot will make the trip with the team and Old Smokey the Cannon to the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Florida.

The 10-year-old steer will travel 1,100 miles from Austin to the heart of Disney World to support Texas Football in against the Michigan Wolverines.

After Bevo was barred from the SEC Championship Game and Peach Bowl last year in Atlanta, UT fans will be happy to see the 2,000-pound live mascot at the game. While the trip will be long with a lot of logistics to work out, Bevo has traveled longer distances in the past.

Ricky Brennes, the executive director of the Silver Spurs Alumni Association, the group responsible for transporting and handling Bevo, shared a list of Bevo's longest trips with KXAN in Austin.

Washington, D.C. – 1,500 miles

Two separate Bevos traveled Washington for two of President George W. Bush’s inaugurations. Bevo XIII went in 2001 and Bevo XIV in 2005.

Pasadena, California – 1,300 miles

Bevo has been to the Rose Bowl four times. He went in 2005 vs. Michigan, 2006 vs. USC, 2009 vs. Alabama and a regular season game against UCLA in 2011.

San Diego, California – 1,300 miles

Bevo has been to five Holiday Bowls ranging from 2000 to 2011.

South Bend, Indiana – 1,200 miles

Bevo V made the trip to Notre Dame in 1954. Texas lost.

Orlando, Florida – 1,100 miles

This year Bevo will attended the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl against the Michigan Wolverines.

Louisville, Kentucky – 1,050

Bevo XIII went to Louisville, Kentucky in 1993 for a regular season game against the Louisville Cardinals. Again, Texas lost.
