The Gophers football program added to its recent streak of commitments to the 2027 recruiting class on Monday night.
Receiver Carlos Ferguson of Owings Mills, Maryland, committed to Minnesota after listing the U, Virginia Tech and Louisville as his finalists on May 10. He also played cornerback, with 21 tackles and a pass breakup. On the basketball court as a junior, he was averaged 15 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
Ferguson is the 26th commitment to the U’s class for next season and its fourth receiver, joining David Mack of Moorhead, Minn., Kevin Ferrygood of Cypress, Texas, and Jayden Thomas of Las Vegas. Ferrygood and Thomas committed to the U on Sunday.
