Alex Manske To Enter Transfer Portal

Iowa State freshman quarterback Alex Manske plans to enter the transfer portal:

Manske was the No. 36 quarterback in the 2025 class. Time will tell if he makes the decision to follow Matt Campbell to Penn State, but the Nittany Lions’ quarterback room appears to be in good hands right now.

Chase Sowell To Enter Transfer Portal

Iowa State wide receiver Chase Sowell announced his intention to transfer yesterday:

Sowell had 32 receptions for 500 yards and two touchdowns in the 2025 season. With Penn State’s wide receiver room experiencing heavy turnover after this season, State College would be a solid landing spot for him.

Penn State Re-Offers Keegan Croucher

Ole Miss commit Keegan Croucher has been re-offered by Penn State:

The 2027 quarterback committed to Ole Miss on October 5. He visited Penn State four times during his recruitment but has not been to State College since June. With changes coming at Ole Miss following Lane Kiffin’s exit to LSU, Croucher could be flippable. I do not expect Penn State to land him, but I am glad to see Matt Campbell’s staff following up on the previous regime’s recruits.

Penn State Re-Offers Carter Jones

2027 Virginia offensie lineman Carter Jones received an offer from Penn State:

Jones had received an offer from James Franklin and has visited Penn State three times, including the White Out game against Oregon in September. Clemson is one of his top suitors, and with Phil Trautwein off to Florida, the Gators should provide some tough competition as well. Virginia will become more difficult for Penn State to recruit with Franklin now in-state, but new offensive line coach Ryan Clanton has not hesitated to recruit the commonwealth.

Penn State’s 2026 Class Moves Up

The 2026 class for Penn State currently ranks No. 116, up about 30 spots from where it was on National Signing Day in early December. Matt Campbell and staff still have a long way to go toward filling out this roster, but it is not nearly the complete train wreck it was a few weeks ago. Campbell has added eight high school recruits in the last 16 days. Iowa State transfers will populate Penn State’s 2026 roster, but things are moving in the right direction in recruiting.
