There was plenty of back-and-forth action between Pitt and Boston College. It wasn’t until the final few minutes that the game was decided. Following multiple turnovers and Mason McKenzie running the ball, the Eagles beat the Panthers, 27-21.

It was a chess match, with both teams trying to outdo the other. Both Corey Dailey and McKenzie threw two interceptions. McKenzie threw one with 2:12 left in the game to Raion Strader, his second of the day.

With time on the clock and multiple timeouts, the Panthers had a chance to win. However, Charlie Comella intercepted a Dailey pass attempt.

McKenzie ran the ball twice for two first downs. One was close and contested, but he made sure his next run was the game’s last play.

McKenzie went 17-for-28, throwing for 295 yards and two touchdown passes. Landon Wright had 122 receiving yards while Evan Dickens led with 57 rushing yards.

Boston College earned its first ACC win of the season and ended a two-game losing streak. The Eagles head to Bobby Dodd Stadium next week to take on Georgia Tech.
