Florida's 2027 recruiting class has climbed up most rankings to become a top-5 collection of talent in college football. Head coach Jon Sumrall and his staff have been aggressive on the trail, resulting in one of the nation's best units
Several key needs remain, however, for the Orange and Blue with the official visit season now underway.
The Gators already hold commitments from five-star offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller, four-star offensive lineman Peyton Miller, quarterback Davin Davidson, multiple wide receivers, two tight ends, several defensive backs and other prospects across the front.
The most crucial remaining priorities are on the defensive line and at the linebacker position. The Gators recently landed the first defensive lineman commit of the cycle in four-star Miami, Florida, native Stive-Bentley Keumajou Yondui. However, the class still needs more interior DL depth and edge rushers to round things out.
In Brad Faulkner's spread offense, a deep receiver room is incredibly valuable. Despite securing a strong group of pass catchers already, the Gators remain in the mix for other elite prospects at the position. Five-star, Louisiana native Easton Royal is a major target for Sumrall and company, who have nailed down an impressive group of skill position players thus far.
