The Colorado Buffaloes completely overhauled the roster by bringing in 42 players in the transfer portal; however, according to new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion, that was just the beginning.

In an interview with Rivals’ reporter Adam Gorney, Marion said the Buffs are ready for a “strong push” in 2026 recruiting. Marion credits his excitement and confidence in the involvement of head coach Deion Sanders, who he said has been personally helping Marion put together his offense.

“Prime has been involved in every recruiting decision,” Marion said. “He’s watched every guy and verified with his eyes to make sure it’s the right player coming into the program.”

It’s a push sorely needed after Colorado landed only 15 commitments in its 2025 class, though eight were four-stars. So far, the Buffs have landed 16 commits and only one four-star for their 2026 high school class.

Coach Prime’s focus last winter was on his health, but now healthy, he has gotten back to revolutionizing Colorado football.

Marion has become known as a recruiting specialist, especially during his time as the head coach of Sacramento State, where he completely reshaped the roster in one offseason. This offseason, the creator of the “Go-Go” offense was pivotal in bringing in the Buffaloes’ top 25 transfer portal class, supporting Coach Prime on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
