Indiana is 1-0 and up one spot in the AP Top 25 to No. 5 in the country after beating North Texas 52-16. This weekend, the Hoosiers host Howard and are a monstrous 55.5-point favorite over the Bison. It's a virtual certainty that IU will move to 2-0 but what are some things people are curious about heading into the matchup?

1. Can Josh Hoover be as good as he was in week one?

Josh Hoover was very impressive in his Indiana debut going 13-of-16 for 231 yards and four touchdowns. Can he do it again against Howard? Smart money is that he can.

The Hoosiers should have a significant advantage with Charlie Becker and Nick Marsh on the outside, giving Hoover another opportunity to build confidence and chemistry within the offense. He may not need to match his week 1 statistics, especially if Indiana builds an early lead, but another efficient performance would further establish him as the leader of the Hoosiers' offense.

2. Can Indiana stay healthy in week two?

After losing both starting cornerbacks in the first quarter against North Texas, Indiana wants nothing more than to finish this weekend's contest as healthy as possible. Hoover was left battered and bloody against North Texas, although he seems to be fine leading up Saturday's contest. The Hoosiers will likely be up big, which could allow the coaches to get some reserves into the game — a smart move heading into week 3.

3. Will special teams show up in a big way again?

Indiana's special teams made a major impact in the season opener right out of the gate. The opening kickoff was brought back 67 yards by Lee Beebe Jr. and later, Turbo Richard added a 41-yard kickoff return of his own. Wide receiver Tyler Morris broke off 36 and 39-yard punt returns. And finally, kicker Nico Radicic remained automatic, converting all seven extra points and hitting a career-long 49-yard field goal.

Expect more big plays and efficient efforts from the Hoosiers against an outmatched Howard team. Indiana will have a speed and athleticism advantage all over the field, which should result in more big plays.

4. Will Indiana cover the huge 55.5-point spread?

This is one of the biggest spreads from the entire weekend. Only Miami's 56.5-point spread over Florida A&M is larger. Any time spread reach this level, it's smart to stay away, but Cignetti and the Hoosiers had several blowouts in this range last year against better opponents. 55.5 points is a ton, but if anyone can cover, it's Cig's Hoosiers.

5. Will Curt Cignetti smile on the sideline?

These are supposed to be burning questions, but this one is a layup. Cignetti is an interesting cat and all business on game day. It doesn't matter if he's up by 100, he won't be smiling on the sidelines. He'll let one squeak out occasionally during post game interviews or human interest pieces, but when there's time on the clock, he's stone faced.
