BYU football releases updated depth chart ahead of TCU game

The BYU Cougars released a depth chart for the Week 5 matchup against the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth. Kalani Sitake's team is coming off of a bye week at 3-0.

TCU is riding a .500 record this year at 2-2 after losing in Ireland to UNC and its Big 12 opener last week on the road at UCF. Here is a dive into the depth chart ahead of Saturday's matchup.

Andrew Gentry removed from depth chart

BYU will be without starting right tackle Andrew Gentry for the rest of the season. He was removed from the depth chart this week after announcing the injury this week. Since transferring from Michigan in 2025, Gentry has started all of BYU’s 17 games at right tackle since his arrival.

Gentry will be replaced by either Siosiua Latu-Finau or Bott Mulitalo. Both Latu-Finau and Mulitalo appeared in the second half of BYU’s win at Colorado State.

Siale Esera remains off the depth chart in Week 5. He suffered an injury early in the win over Arizona on September 12. He missed the Colorado State game and is currently off the depth chart.

Game Info

This is the second road trip for the Cougars this year. BYU is coming off its bye week after beating Colorado State in Fort Collins as a renewal with the former WAC/ Mountain West foe. BYU enters at No. 10 in the AP Poll with a 3-0 record (1-0 in Big 12 play) following a bye week. TCU sits at 2-2 after dropping their Big 12 opener 21-13 to the UCF Knights. While BYU won big last year, the Cougars have historically struggled when playing TCU on the road in Fort Worth, where they are seeking their first win since 2006.
