Casey Gillin is the new football coach at Mooresville.

Gillin, most recently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Wabash College, follows his father Mike Gillin as the Pioneers’ coach. The elder Gillin retired at the end of October to end his 47-year coaching career with 373 wins.

Casey Gillin was previously a high school head coach at Indian Creek in 2022 and ’23, compiling a 15-8 record. He has also been an offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and head assistant at Mooresville. Gillin coached at the University of Indianapolis, his alma mater, for more than a decade.

“Casey understands that successful programs are built on relationships, consistency and daily habits,” Mooresville athletic director Matt Bosworth said in a release. “He has a clear vision for establishing a positive, accountable culture that supports our student athletes on and off the field. We are confident his leadership will create an environment our players, families and community can be proud of.”

Mooresville was 5-5 last season.
